When someone overpays (and he/she doesn't want change) for a chinchilla or chinchilla supplies order, I put that extra money into donations to help pay for future rescues. I do not have non-profit status for my chinchilla rescue, but I am looking into it and I may be getting some help from a charities organization next year. All the money that I receive for the rescue program goes right to help the chinnies, and every little bit helps out. I've given a lot of my own money to buy rescues, taking them to the vet and feeding them, and I will probably never break even (and that's just fine with me!).
I decided to list the donations that I have gotten on this page so that everyone knows exactly what has been given. We do not solicit donations at all!! These have been given freely by individuals wanting to help out with rescuing chinchillas.
